The purpose of this Addendum No. 1 is to provide responses to questions that have been raised during the RFP period prior to the question deadline of May 21, 2021 and copies of reports available for information.

Memorandum The Halifax – Dartmouth Bridge Commission (doing business as Halifax Harbour Bridges or “HHB”) is seeking proposals from qualified consultant (s) to conduct an economic impact assessment for potential risks represented by various bridge closure scenarios related to the MacKay Bridge in Halifax and Nova Scotia.

The objectives of the project are to:
• To produce a clear and comprehensive statement of the role and value the bridges play as major pieces of regional transportation infrastructure.
• Better understand the economic impacts and risks represented by closures of various durations related to the MacKay Bridge on Halifax and Nova Scotia.
• Understand a bridge closures potential to create long term changes to the industrial structure of Halifax and Nova Scotia.
• Provide quantitative and qualitative tools for communication of these impacts to stakeholders.
• Fully understand the potential economic and social costs of not replacing the MacKay Bridge.
• Reduce the risk of closure impacts by spurring pre-emptive bridge replacement
