Victoria Street Greenway Upgrades

Sealed tenders for the Town of Digby Victoria Street Greenway Upgrades Tender No. TOD2019-02, will be received at the Town of Digby 12:01 p.m. local time, Thursday, September 5, 2019 and will be publicly opened at 12:05 p.m. the same day.
LOCATION
Along the north end of Victoria Street, approximately between the intersection with the Digby County Rail Trail and in and around the entrance to the Digby Campground, Digby, Nova Scotia.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The Work to be completed under this contract includes the following:
.1 New pedestrian facilities on the East side of Victoria Street, approximately between the intersection with the Digby County Rail Trail and in and around the Victoria Street entrance to the Digby Campground.
.2 Stormwater management facilities in and around the Victoria Street entrance to the Digby Campground.
.3 Minor alterations to the Victoria Street and Digby Campground entrance paved driving lanes.

The major items in this Work are:
.1 Two 600 mm dia. culverts, approx. 12 m and 6m length, including concrete headwalls.
.2 Bioswale stormwater management basins, some with an impermeable liner, chiefly consisting of clear stone aggregates, planting soil media, and bark mulch. Planting by others is not part of this work.
.3 New concrete sidewalk sections, 1.8m and 2.05 m wide, including 20 m of custom thickened edge sidewalk, approx. 435 square m total area.
.4 New asphaltic concrete paving, approx. 370 square m total area.
.5 New concrete curb and gutter, approx. 115 m total length.
.6 Permanent pavement marking.
.7 Some topsoil stripping, re-use, and seeding.
.8 All environmental controls required during and after construction.
.9 All related work and incidentals associated with the above.

Project Documents may be obtained by contacting the Town of Digby. The Town may forward document requests to the project Engineer.
The non-refundable fee for print copy Project Documents is $90.00. These must be requested at least 48hrs in advance of the pre-tender site meeting.

TENDER SECURITY DEPOSIT
10% of total tender amount is payable to The Town of Digby as Tender Security.

PRE-TENDER SITE MEETING
A mandatory pre-tender site meeting will be held on August 23, 2019 at 10:00am local time, at the Digby Town Office, 147 First Ave, Digby, NS.
